This section provides information and resources for communities all across Canada. Industry Canada and the Industry Portfolio have various agencies and initiatives that promote economic development, jobs, investments and infrastructure in these communities.
- Building Canada Fund in Ontario
- Federal partnership with the Government of Ontario to build, enhance and modernize public infrastructure in Ontario to foster economic growth, support a cleaner environment and promote stronger and safer communities.
- Canada Strategic Infrastructure Fund (CSIF)
- Federal program, delivered by Industry Canada in Ontario on behalf of the Government of Canada, to support large-scale projects of major federal and regional significance in areas that are vital to sustaining economic growth and enhancing the quality of life of Canadians.
- Community Access Program (CAP)
- Program that provides Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively.
- Community Adjustment Fund (CAF)
- A two-year $1-billion economic stimulus measure designed to act quickly to help create employment opportunities. In Ontario, the CAF will provide $348.9 million over two years to support adjustment measures in communities affected by the global economic downturn.
- Community Futures Program — FedNor
- Programs and services supporting community economic development and small business growth.
- FedNor
- Regional development organization that promotes economic development, diversification and job creation in Northern and rural Ontario communities.
- Marquee Tourism Events Program (MTEP)
- Provides $100 million over two years to help established marquee tourism events to enhance their offerings and to deliver world-class programs and experiences.
- Ontario Potable Water Program (OPWP)
- Program that provides financial support to promote local economic development in municipalities that have had the costs for their Canada-Ontario Infrastructure Program (COIP) water projects increased in order to comply with changes to Ontario drinking water regulations.
- Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program (RInC) in Ontario
- Through the RInC Program in Ontario, the Government of Canada has committed to supporting Ontario's communities and creating jobs through upgrades to existing recreation facilities over the next two years.
- Rural and Remote Broadband Access — Communications Research Centre Canada
- Research program that explores ways to facilitate delivery of broadband services to rural and remote Canada via satellite and terrestrial wireless technologies.

- Canada-Ontario Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund (COMRIF)
- Federal partnership with the Government of Ontario, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, and Ontario municipalities to improve and renew small urban and rural public infrastructure across the province.

- Website that provides official language minority communities with quick and easy access to information about Government of Canada programs and services.
- Communications With and Services to the Public (Part IV of the Official Languages Act)
- Industry Canada and third parties acting on its behalf communicate in English, French or both official languages, based on the office location or service point and the composition of the audience to whom the communication is directed. - Economic Development Initiative (EDI)
- Over the next five years (ending March 31, 2013), Industry Canada/FedNor will invest $8.9 million to support community strategic planning, as well as business and economic development activities that encourage sustainable growth in Ontario's official language minority communities.

- Publications that show the implementation of Industry Canada's objective to maximize the participation of official language minority communities in existing programs and services to help them contribute to Canada's economic development.
