How the Industrial Technologies Office Functions

The Industrial Technologies Office (ITO) is a special operating agency of Industry Canada that advances leading edge research and development (R&D) by Canadian industries. The agency delivers the Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative (SADI) and also manages projects previously contracted through the Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) program, the Hydrogen Early Adopters (h2EA) Program, and the Program for Strategic Industrial Projects (PSIP).

ITO is led by an Executive Director and is made up of 6 divisions: the Deputy Executive Director’s Office; Communications; Economic and Business Case Analysis (EBCA); Operations; Portfolio Management; and Quality Assurance and Business Practices. Together, the 6 divisions manage the various aspects of ITO’s programs.
